If you still want to work on the non-default color scheme, you need to do the "Save Settings" at theme settings page everytime you make changes to the style.css in kelebek the theme directory. With this "Save Settings" operation, a new files/color/themename-YYYY directory and the contents including style.css are generated based on the latest style.css you have created. With this extra step, you can work on non-default color scheme, but this is not a smart mirc (and easy) way to change style.css. I recommend that you stick with the default color scheme if you make any changes to the style.css of the recolorable theme.
I have even changed the colour of the black menu bar (by altering the base.png) to fit in with my color selection (ocen water) as well.
I have now started to look at using the pixture theme for my Maintainance / Offline Page. I have changed the code in the settings.php and created a copy of the pixture page.tpl.php and renamed it maintenance-page.tpl.php. This was per instructions on drupal.org - http://drupal.org/node/195435
This has worked to a point...I now have the pixture theme as the offline page...However it is using the default "Girly Pink" and not my selected color scheme (ocen water) or my updated menu bar (altered base.png).
How can I get my Offline Page to have the same Color Scheme as the rest of the site (ocen water)?
What is the meaning of the Drupal directory files/color/pixture-c7c56eaa? I was scratching my head, wondering why my new logo and updates to style.css weren't taking effect, and then I noticed that these files, along with many others, had been copied into files/color/pixture-c7c56eaa. I can edit the files there, but I'd like to understand why this directory exists. Thanks.
I'm worried that pixture won't keep at it with these rather amazing drupal themes...they're the best! but I don't see much activity here by pixture or on the drupal pixture page.
Question, how to change the pixture header font to sans-serif? I got rid of site_name font-family: Georgia, Times, serif; in styles.css, but nothing changes...why doesn't it use the base Oddly, Twilight has the same css for site_name as pixture does...but renders as sans-serif.
Pixture is indeed a really great theme, thank you! I might be able to use it on a site, but right now it's stuck. I used the custom color set for a day or so, and now it won't change to anything else. The preview changes but if I save the config, the site remains with the custom colors. I've refreshed etc.
A secondary issue is that if the logo is turned off, a missing image icon shows up instead.
My pixture installation's theme settings page does not show where I can specify the page width by percent raito (for
liquid layout) or px value (for fixed width).
I cannot even see the default layout of 85% width (liquid layout).
I tried installing the pixture theme on a 5.X drupal. I notice one oddity. On your screen snap it shows the wrapper or body gowing totally from side to side. Yet my install has sort of "margins" of the pink background on the right and the left making it look like a sheet of paper on a pink background. Is there a change I can make to make the main presentation portion of the screen take up the full with of my browser window?
You probaby don't have the Theme Settings API module (available at http://drupal.org/project/themesettingsapi) installed. Install that, and at the bottom of the theme configuration page there is an area where you can change the width to 100%. Then it will fill the whole browser window.
The Pixture Theme is almost perfect for my site, except I have two small problems with it.
The dimensions of the original Drupal logo are 136 by 118 pixels. I have replaced it with my own PNG logo that is 200 pixels wide and 80 pixels high with a transparent background. I have a navigation menu bar at the top with white text links on a black strip. The problem with all this, is that the text links on the top menu have also moved.
They are now indented 200 pixels from the left side. My logo does not infringe or overlap on the top menu, so I don’t understand why it has moved. How can I align the top menu links on the left side, directly under the logo? My website is currently under construction, but I have provided a screen print at this location http://www.teamule.com/pixture.png
I hope my second question is easier. How can I change the color of the text links on the top menu? By default, the text is white on a black strip but I want to make the text bright yellow instead. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.
can someone tell me how to get my logo to center? I've gone through almost all of the areas in the style.css file and no matter where I try it it will not center. I was able to get the logo to itself to change to ours but can't get it centered. Where is the setting for this please?
Maybe I can. I used Bluemarrine as a base of these themes and that's why they are Chat table based. I have also created some tableless themes using elements too.

Tables
I think it is becuase tables should be used to present tabular content rather than presentation(what css if for).
I believe there can be accesibility problems for some readers when using table to position content.
Here is some more information:

Thank you for the information. Now I understand the point.
Maybe I should try to convert one of my themes to tableless and see how it goes sometime in the future.
Nice
I like some of these themes. Is there a chance they would become tableless in the future?
Not sure if my problem is related to this
User enters following table as part of a page
The width and align attributes are ignored/overruled in the pixture theme!!!
Not sure waht if any other atts are affected?
Is there anyway to overcome this?
